Woolamina’s Junk Journals & Notebooks!
The sheep fainted when they saw the number of antique photos, books and documents I have acquired. They stamped their feet until I found a way to share them. (They even threatened to make me walk the plank??) Journaling is a way for the items to find their way into a project that makes other people happy. Stray items that need a new lease on life. Please have a visit to our FAQ page to read more about the special items we offer for sale & for more info on why I do what I do…
Another of my series of blue colorway journals! Have to admit I did get a little bit carried away, turned out I have a LOT of blue things to work with around me. (Keep an eye out, several more will be on the site soon)
This is a ring bound journal that measures 7 × 6 inches; includes 20 pages (40 front/back) and has lots of fun pockets to fill up. The sheep have included unique, antique and vintage ephemera for you in all of them! The ring binding allows for pages to be rearranged, removed or you can add your own pages in.

Thank you for stopping by!!
My inspiration for Carol’s journal was the very first picture of four people sewn onto a page. It was probably in someone’s family photo album at one time. The person who made it was most likely using materials she had available such as ribbon for the grid around the photos.
I added the bottom of two cabinet cards as pockets but the photos still did not want to stay where they belonged so I did have to glue the photos in. That page turned into part of the cover, which started its life as a tri-fold photo holder. Almost all materials are vintage/antique and aged to go together if necessary. Stuffed full of vintage ephemera and off it goes to its new owner!
Thank you Carol L.!
This little Rand McNally Elf Book was in rough shape so I kept the covers and all of the pages/illustrations I was able to. I added them to a plain notebook of white paper. There is a pocket on the inside of the front and back cover. There are 16 pages (32 front/back) with very light decorating. The sheep have included ephemera I created from the illustrations from the book- and other fun stuff for you to use when you make this little cutie your own!
It measures 8 × 7 inches and would be perfect as a journal, notebook, sketchbook, glue book, etc.!

Bunny Blue is another book from my stash of McNally Junior Elf Books. It was not in great shape so I took it apart, re-fashioned the cover. I kept all the pages and illustrations I could to use as ephemera in the journal. The sheep made a bookmark with the spine jewelry attached. If you are writing in the journal, you can remove the beads/charms, then put it back in when you are done. Wa-la!
It measures 4.5 × 6.5 inches; includes 13 pages (24 front/back) and there are plenty of pockets to hold your notes, treasures and ideas. The sheep also include a variety of unique, vintage and antique ephemera- the pockets are stuffed full!

Hope your weather is being kind- smooches from the sheep!
Fancy Nancy is one of my favorite book sets- she is sassy, adorable and smart! I started this journal/notebook out with a vintage book cover, added antique to new pages with a very minimal amount of decorating. The sheep LOVE to decorate the pages but I had them leave room for you to make this cutie your own.
It is ring bound, giving you the choice of adding, removing or rearranging pages. The journal measures 8.5 x 5.5 inches. Nancy is modeling a pretty, vintage lacey handkerchief with a little bit of hand embroidered pillow case edging.
There are 20 + pages (40 front/back) perfect for anything you choose to create. All this little cutie Fancy Nancy needs is you!

The sheep’s organization of the chaos that is my office/craft room has brought forth some really fun finds that I forgot were even here! This is a notebook that measures 8.5 x 4 inches with at least 50 pages of lined paper.
The tie closure is yarn I handspun from our Wooliam sheep’s wool. The tassel has all sorts of fun trinkets, beads, lace and fabric in it.

Another cutie patootie Fancy Nancy journal/notebook! I adore her and so do the sheep. I’ve read them a lot of her books and pick them up whenever I see them in the thrift shops.
We started out with a daisy yellow, vintage book cover that had a pretty sun on the front cover. The sheep added a cute little face to the sunshine because it looked kind of plain for a cover with Fancy Nancy on it. The sheep also love butterflies so they are of course throughout the journal.
There are 20 + pages (40 front/back) of a variety of antique/vintage and new papers. It measures 8.5 x 5.5 inches and is ring bound. There is also a removeable tassel.

This little faery needed a fun journal to tell her story! There are 20 pages (40 front/back) full of fun and lots of ephemera for you to use. The sheep love faeries and whimsy so much! The journal measures 6 × 8 inches. There is one signature that is tied in, allowing you to rearrange, remove or add pages. There is a tie in the middle the pages slip under. Lots of what we use in our journals is antique, vintage and just plain cute!

I had so much fun creating this journal! I started with a 3-ring binder from a newer cookbook I thrifted. The quilt seemed perfect as a cover and I used pretty pillow cases on the inside of the covers. There is a variety of antique, vintage and new all woven through this journal, artbook, notebook, glue book. Lots of room for you to decorate and make it yours. The sheep always send extra ephemera for you to use too.
Size: 8 x 9 inches
Pages: 35 + (70 front/back)

Natalina "Lina" Cavalieri (25 December 1874 – 7 February 1944) was an Italian Opera singer and actress. She became known as the most beautiful and most photographed star of her time. She was married several times and had one son.
I will include her entire bio with links to more info, even a recording of her singing with lots of photos. She was a fascinating lady!
There are 44 pages (88 front/back), is ring bound and the journal measures 8 × 10”.

A little red book came in a box of books. It was not doing so well so I took it apart and re-used the cover. The front features parts of a Crazy Quilt that was dated 1890 and some happy dancer kidlets I cut out of a vintage children’s book.
The journal includes 13 pages (26 front/back); measures 5.5 × 7.5 inches and is ring bound. This allows pages to be rearranged; removed or you can add your own pages! There are lots of pockets to tuck things into and the sheep have filled them with unique, antique and vintage ephemera.

This little journal started out as a sketch book. It measures 6 × 5 inches and includes 16 pages (32 front & back).
I did some decorating of pages but there is plenty of room for you to make this cutie your own. The sheep send extra ephemera with every journal too.
The pages are antique, vintage and newer. I sewed the single signature in and did not quite get it centered. My Mom calls that character and it does not in any way detract from the journal.

This journal started out as a vintage scrapbook! I removed the original pages and replaced them with new ones. There is a lot of room for writing, drawing, gluing- you name it! It measures approximately 10 x 13 inches, includes 20+ pages (40 front/back). It is filled with vintage and antique ephemera. You will also receive a special pack of ephemera for you to use in this or other creations. You can see a page by page video of the journal here:

The sheep left instructions for me to turn a greeting card into a little cute notebook. Wa-la! The card folded out and had 3 lovely ladies. I used two for the cover and added blank pages inside. The cover started out as an envelope that a friend turned into pockets. They offer two pockets each on the inside covers.
I hinged the pages together with cute fabric so you could add more pages if you wanted to, it’s a perfect size (6x4.5 inches) to carry with you or tuck into a space for lists and reminders. There are 10 unlined pages (20 front/back) perfect for sketching, artwork and journaling.
The tie closure is yarn I handspun from our Wooliam sheep’s wool.

Sorting through an office drawer I came across this cute little note/address book. Decided to dress it up for the holidays/winter!
It is new, measures 4 × 5 inches, has alphabetical index and the pages inside are lined. I did not ink the edges, they are white. Added a couple pockets inside so you can stash notes and treasures. Perfect size to go anywhere you do!
