He had me spin some of his wool into a soft, lightweight, two ply yarn. It is a pretty fine weight and it soaks up dye like a champ. It is soft enough for most any project so you really can’t go wrong with Wicker’s yarn!

Winter seems to have arrived here in Wisconsin so warm, rich colors are on the sheep’s minds!

The sheep love to design yarn and had me spin a variety of natural colored and white wool into a 2 ply yarn. No rhyme or reason to the order spun, just crazy quilt style. It is soft enough for most projects.

After it was skeined up, they popped them into the dye pots. I love the variety of green tones in this yarn. Don’t miss this one- there are only 2 skeins!

Louis was one of our very first sheep- a very sweet and cuddly Rambouillet sheep. We got him as a lamb and he lived to be 10 years old. He’s been gone for a while now but I still look out expecting to see that soft wrinkly nose!

This yarn is from the wool I saved from one of his fleeces. The other sheep are giving me a hard time about my shameful stash of wool. They sent the wool to Shari for carding and when it got back home, I spun it up into a very bulky 2 ply yarn.

Shari carded Tussah Silk into the wool, then as I spun it, I added random bits of recycled Sari Silk threads. I think Louis would have loved this yarn!

The sheep sent a bunch of Rambouillet wool off to Shari to be carded. Rambouillet wool is soft as Merino with a bit of elasticity.

I spun this up into a 2 ply yarn that will be perfect for most any project. It is great for hats and mittens- or anything really!

You could even over dye the lighter color if you choose!

The sheep had a fun time designing this yarn! They kept a bit of each roving they dyed up and left it in my ‘to spin’ basket. My instructions were to spin it randomly into a single ply yarn.

It is a variety of soft wool and it was so fun to spin this one. It would be a perky addition to a project don’t you think? There is enough yardage for a scarf or hat too though.

Please note there is one knot in the skein. I tied it with very long tails so you can see it. It is not in the middle, probably around 40 yards in.

The sheep sent Shari a soft, black Shetland fleece (from a friend’s sheep) and asked her to card it next to dyed bamboo fiber. When we got the roving back, I had to spin some up immediately!

The bamboo fiber against the black wool is quite striking. It is a subtle color that shows up so prettily. It is a soft yarn that would be great for any project!

Shirley was a Hampshire sheep owned by a friend. She was a beautiful sheep with a very sweet personality.

Her wool is as soft as Merino wool with a bit of extra bounce to it. When Shari carded it, she added bamboo fiber dyed a gorgeous raspberry. It spins up into a stretchy yarn and I love to knit hats with it. When I spun this skein, I let a shiny thread wrap randomly around the yarn. A bit of extra glam! Her fleece is so pretty! This 2-ply yarn will be perfect for most any project and soaks up dye like a sponge so you can overdye it easily if you want to!

She is a CVM sheep with the softest wool. It is very similar to Merino with the bounciness of Rambouillet.

Berti sent her wool to Shari for carding. When it got back home, she had me spin some into a 2 ply yarn. THEN she popped it into the dye pot. This cheerful skein of yarn is very elastic so there are actually 150 yards but I wrote it up as 140 to allow for the elasticity. Berti included some Karma in this bit of yarn that is perfect for any project you have in mind!

I had so much fun spinning up this yarn! It is a blend of huacaya alpaca fiber and Shetland wool from a friend’s flock.

It is a pale fawn color, single ply, next to the skin soft yarn. I love this yarn! It would be a nice one to dye up too. I have more of this fiber if you need a larger amount of this yarn. Just email the sheep!

The girls got together and had me spin a blend of their wool into a 2 ply yarn. Their wool is soft as Merino and has a bounce like Rambouillet or Corridale. I spun one ply of their gray wool, then a second ply of mohair/alpaca blend that was dyed a barely lilac color.

It was fun to spin and would be a perfect, special yarn for any project!

Before I spun this yarn, Berti added in a bit of wool from her best friend Comfort- also a CVM with a white fleece. The yarn is 2 ply, very bouncy, stretchy and soft! It would be amazing in any creation you have in mine.
