I have a stable of antique wheels and an electric Babe's Fiber Garden wheel. I learned on an antique wheel so have a special place in my fiber heart for them.  Several are from overseas, Russia, Norway and many from the USA. Some are primitive, some are fancy. They tend to be difficult to keep adjusted correctly but I adore them. The treadles have foot prints worn into them from all the spinners who spent hours working. I think the squeaks you can never quite get rid of are the wheel telling you its story. Adding to your creativity as you spin and ponder how many many years that wheel has seen, how far it traveled and who loved it. 

There are lots and lots of spinners and fiber artists out there, and all are unique and wonderful. We have a philosophy here that there is NO wrong way to spin OR dye OR work with fiber!! Just HAVE FUN! It is 'very difficult to 'mess up.' Each artist has a unique style and if we all spun the same yarn what a boring world this would be!
