Most of you probably remember our little Coco Bean lamb? He was a bottle lamb last year and just a cute peanut! He arrived with his brother Pirate and the are now proper big sheep, living out amongst the big flock. Always up to shenanigans- read more about them….

He is a Cotswold/Romedale cross sheep with a beautiful black fleece. He washed up a bit of his wool and left it with a note in my basket of fiber to spin. My instructions were to spin a 2 ply yarn. When I got started the wool really wanted to spin into a fine weight. I let it be the boss and it really is so pretty. I would call it a lace/fingering weight.

It is soft enough for most projects and showcases the natural red tone found in the wool. Ooh la la!

Skeins include: 200 yards/ 2.5 ounces each
