Meet Marshall, an absolutely beautiful and a wonderful, calm sheep who is fit in like he'd been here forever! (Marshall is named for Professor F.R. Marshall who along with Frank S. King went to New Zealand in 1914 to bring the very first Corriedale sheep to the US...)
Some years ago Marshall and his little brother Theo arrived the following spring. They are such sweet sheep. Just happy go lucky and very devoted to each other. Another of our little families with in the flock!
Marshall's fleece is chocolate brown and as he's aged, some silver has crept in too. Beautiful! The wool averages 3 inches long, is a little bouncy and Merino soft.
Marshall's personality reminds me very much of my Piper sheep. Just a big galoot, happy no matter what he might be doing. Gotta love it!
2017 update: Marshall has moved into our special needs group of sheep. Technically he is retired and moving a little slower than the younger sheep. This Fall he welcomes his little brother Theo to the retirement group. They are so excited to be back in the same group! Read more about Theo!
Here is a photo of Marshall's 2016 fleece- ooh la la and oh so soft!
